How to detect Surface quality of high speed rods&wires with high efficiency
Upon the request of rolling mill customer's demand, SINOM team developed the smarteye online inspection system.
It is an online defect and dimension inspection system for plates, rods and wires and strip steels based on high-speed video. The system consists of visual system, cooling protective system, quakeproof system and mobile inspection system, which can inspect the surface defects, dimension of finished products and other parameters.
It shall timely alarm the periodic defects caused by production technology, in order to improve yield of rods and wires, and subtract cost.
Technical index
1. Wire rod diameter (or width): <300mm (it may customize visual inspection system);
2. Dimensional accuracy: 0.09mm (it may customize visual inspection system);
3. Defect accuracy: width >0.1mm (it may be customized according to users’ requirements);
4. Sampling frequency: 70,000 – 110,000 times/second;
5. Movement speed of rods and wires: 120m/s.
